Jharkhand Spirit, Giridih :  A tragic incident occurred at Parasnath Hill when a 65-year-old pilgrim from Madhya Pradesh lost his life in a bike accident while on his way to the hilltop to offer prayers. The accident took place when the bike slipped on the stone steps, causing the elderly man to fall and sustain serious injuries.

The deceased, identified as Munna Jain, a resident of Silwani in Madhya Pradesh, had come with his family as part of a group of 27 pilgrims to visit the sacred Jain pilgrimage site. Reports indicate that Jain was being transported by a local biker from the base of the hill to the summit when the bike lost control and skidded on the steps. Jain fell off the vehicle, lost consciousness, and began bleeding from his nose.

Instead of seeking help, the bike rider allegedly fled the scene, abandoning both the injured pilgrim and the vehicle. Fellow pilgrims rushed Jain to Pirtand Health Centre, but doctors there declared him dead on arrival.

Initial reports pointed to injuries from the fall as the cause of death. However, Madhuban Thana Prabhari later confirmed that the postmortem report revealed the cause of death to be a heart attack.

The incident has left fellow pilgrims and family members in deep shock, and authorities are investigating the circumstances of the rider's disappearance.
