Tourists from different districts of Jharkhand, as well as neighboring states such as Bihar and West Bengal, flock to Madhuban in search of tranquility. The monsoon season adds to the beauty of the place. Lush green hills, cool weather, the rhythmic chanting of sacred mantras, and the ringing of temple bells together create an unforgettable spiritual experience. As a result, the number of weekend visitors continues to grow every year.
The Spiritual Significance of Madhuban
Madhuban is located at the foothills of Parasnath Hill, the highest peak in Jharkhand and one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Jainism. According to Jain tradition, 20 of the 24 Tirthankaras attained Moksha (salvation) on Parasnath Hill, making it one of the most revered Jain pilgrimage destinations in the world.
Known popularly as Shikharji among Jain devotees, Madhuban is home to more than a dozen magnificent Jain temples, numerous dharmashalas (pilgrim rest houses), and several religious institutions. Throughout the year, pilgrims visit this sacred town for worship, meditation, and religious rituals. During Chaturmas, however, the number of spiritual discourses, rituals, and religious events increases significantly, attracting thousands of devotees.

1. Bhomiya Ji Temple
Bhomiya Ji Temple is one of the oldest and most revered shrines in Madhuban. According to local belief, pilgrims should seek the blessings of Bhomiya Baba before beginning the sacred trek to Parasnath Hill. Devotees believe that offering prayers here ensures a safe, peaceful, and obstacle-free pilgrimage.
The temple is located inside the campus of the Jain Shwetambar Society (JSS) and remains crowded throughout the year.
2. Taleti Tirth
Taleti Tirth has become one of the most photographed places in Madhuban. Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms are filled with videos and reels showcasing its beautiful architecture.
