Illegal Liquor Factory Busted in Domaydih, Three Arrested

Jharkhand Spirit, Giridih: Police have busted an illegal liquor manufacturing unit operating from a newly constructed building in Domaydih under Dhanwar Police Station area. Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by the SDM launched a raid after Giridih Police received secret information about the illicit operation.

During a press conference, police officials confirmed that a large quantity of raw materials, packaging items, and liquor bottles of various brands were seized from the site. The estimated value of the seized items is around ₹4 lakh.

According to police, the factory was owned by Sikandar Saw, a resident of Hirodih, who has a prior criminal record. He was arrested along with three other accused.

Seized Items Include

  • 95 bottles of Royal Stag (375 ml)

  • 61 bottles of Sterling Reserve B7 (375 ml)

  • 16 bottles of Royal Challenge (375 ml)

  • 97 bottles of Royal Gold Cup (750 ml)

  • 225 bottles of McDowell's (375 ml)

  • 100 litres of white-coloured liquid (suspected spirit)

  • 250 plastic bottles, stickers of various brands

  • Two large drums and one motorcycle

Accused Arrested

  • Sikandar Saw (owner), resident of Hirodih

  • Basir Alam (35), resident of Nimapahari

  • Sohel Ansari (15), resident of Nimapahari

  • Munna Yadav, resident of Gandhi Chowk

Police said further investigation is underway to identify other people involved in the racket.
