One Who Conquers the Mind Conquers the World: Muni Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj

Deepak Mishra, Jharkhand Spirit : Addressing a religious gathering at Gunayatan in Madhuban on Tuesday, Muni Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj said that modern man is burning in the fire of dissatisfaction and mental disturbances. Despite having wealth and material comforts, a lack of inner contentment reflects failure in the race of life.

During his discourse, Muni Shri explained that emotions such as jealousy, hatred, anger, and resentment gradually weaken a person from within. He stated that those who fail to control their minds become slaves to circumstances, whereas a person who gains mastery over the mind cannot be defeated by any force in the world.

“One who conquers the mind becomes the conqueror of the world,” he said, adding that self-knowledge, self-awareness, and self-discipline are the true foundations of self-victory.

Later, during the evening Shanka Samadhan session, Muni Shri also expressed his views regarding the ongoing Sant Suraksha Andolan (Saint Security Movement) following the tragic Rewa incident involving Jain sadhvis.

According to Avinash Jain Vidyavani, National Spokesperson of Gunayatan Madhya Bharat, silent rallies and memorandum submission programs were organized in several major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and various cities of Uttar Pradesh such as Lalitpur, Varanasi, Kanpur, and Lucknow, along with many towns and cities across Madhya Pradesh. Community members submitted memorandums to district administrations, tehsil authorities, and police officials demanding stronger security arrangements for saints and ascetics.

Muni Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj welcomed the government’s decision to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the Rewa incident. However, he clarified that the objective of society is not limited to investigation alone, but also to ensure safe and fearless travel arrangements for monks and saints across the country.

He further emphasized that society must remain continuously alert, united, and active in protecting spiritual leaders and preserving the values of peace and non-violence.
